  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups chocolate chips (or pastel-colored chocolate candies)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Stir in vanilla extract.
  6. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.
  7. Fold in chocolate chips or pastel-colored chocolate candies.
  8. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
  10. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
