Oven-Fried Feta Rolls with Chili Honey – Crispy, Cheesy, & Irresistible!

Description

Flaky phyllo dough wraps around a creamy feta filling, baked to golden perfection and drizzled with a spicy-sweet chili honey. Perfect as an appetizer or snack!


Ingredients

  • 8 sheets phyllo dough, thawed
  • 1 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • ½ cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter (for brushing)
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust for heat preference)
  • ½ teaspoon lemon juice (optional, for a hint of brightness)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, mix feta, cream cheese, oregano, and garlic powder until well combined.
  3. Lay one sheet of phyllo dough on a clean surface and brush lightly with olive oil or melted butter.
  4. Place another sheet on top and repeat the brushing.
  5. Spoon 1-2 tablespoons of the feta mixture onto one end of the phyllo, then roll up like a spring roll, tucking in the sides as you go.
  6. Repeat with remaining phyllo and filling.
  7. Place rolls on the prepared baking sheet and brush tops with a little more olive oil or butter.
  8. Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and crispy.
  9. While the rolls bake, mix honey, red pepper flakes, and lemon juice in a small bowl.
  10. Drizzle over warm feta rolls just before serving.

Notes

For extra crispiness, bake at 375°F for 10 minutes, then increase the temperature to 400°F for the last 5 minutes!
