Description
Flaky phyllo dough wraps around a creamy feta filling, baked to golden perfection and drizzled with a spicy-sweet chili honey. Perfect as an appetizer or snack!
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 sheets phyllo dough, thawed
- 1 cup crumbled feta cheese
- ½ cup cream cheese, softened
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter (for brushing)
- ¼ cup honey
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust for heat preference)
- ½ teaspoon lemon juice (optional, for a hint of brightness)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, mix feta, cream cheese, oregano, and garlic powder until well combined.
- Lay one sheet of phyllo dough on a clean surface and brush lightly with olive oil or melted butter.
- Place another sheet on top and repeat the brushing.
- Spoon 1-2 tablespoons of the feta mixture onto one end of the phyllo, then roll up like a spring roll, tucking in the sides as you go.
- Repeat with remaining phyllo and filling.
- Place rolls on the prepared baking sheet and brush tops with a little more olive oil or butter.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and crispy.
- While the rolls bake, mix honey, red pepper flakes, and lemon juice in a small bowl.
- Drizzle over warm feta rolls just before serving.
Notes
For extra crispiness, bake at 375°F for 10 minutes, then increase the temperature to 400°F for the last 5 minutes!
