Description
Take a sip of nostalgia and turn it into dessert with this Root Beer Float Pie! Creamy, fizzy, and utterly delightful, this pie is a perfect chilled treat for warm days or any time you’re craving a twist on the classic root beer float.
Ingredients
Scale
- ¾ cup root beer
- ½ cup milk
- 1 box instant vanilla pudding mix (4-serving size)
- 1–2 tablespoons root beer extract (adjust to taste)
- 8 oz Cool Whip, thawed
- 1 prepared graham cracker crust
- Extra Cool Whip or whipped cream (for topping)
- Maraschino cherries
- Optional: Sprinkles or chocolate shavings
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together root beer, milk, vanilla pudding mix, and root beer extract until smooth. Let the mixture sit for 2 minutes to thicken.
- Gently fold in the Cool Whip until fully combined and creamy. Taste and adjust root beer extract for a stronger flavor if desired.
- Pour the filling into the prepared graham cracker crust and smooth out the top with a spatula.
- Refrigerate the pie for at least 4 hours, or until fully set.
- Before serving, top the pie with extra Cool Whip or whipped cream. Garnish with maraschino cherries, and for extra fun, add sprinkles or chocolate shavings.
Notes
For an even stronger root beer flavor, try using a root beer concentrate instead of extract. Add a little at a time to avoid overpowering the taste!
